Jake honed his skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating elite athletes as a physiotherapist at West Ham United FC and Crystal Palace FC. Jake specialises in sports and exercise medicine, pre- and post-operative management. He has extensive experience in the rehabilitation of hip, knee, ankle, and spinal injuries including injuries such as ACL tears, meniscus surgeries, ankle reconstructions, and hip labral surgery. He provides evidence-based treatments and individualised care to maximise his patients’ health and well-being and draws upon his vast network of consultants, podiatrists, GPs, strength and conditioning coaches, and nutritionists, incorporating a multi-disciplinary team approach as required.
Jake also has a clinical interest in the assessment and rehabilitation of adolescent sports injuries which is a specialist area he developed during his time working within elite sports academy settings. He treats children and adolescents from the age of 8 upwards with sporting and musculoskeletal injuries.
In addition to his clinical work, Jake is actively involved in professional organisations, serving as a regional representative for the ACPSEM (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine) for London and the South East, and holding ACPSEM Bronze accreditation. He has contributed to academia through guest lecturing on the UCL Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health MSc programme and is a UKAD-accredited clean sports advisor, having completed the FIFA medical diploma. Jake is also qualified in sports massage, sports taping, medical acupuncture/dry needling, and sports trauma management.
Beyond his professional endeavours, Jake is an avid reader and enjoys activities like cycling, judo, padel and bouldering. He also volunteers at a community food project and remains a loyal supporter of QPR FC.
