About Emerson

Emerson has been working as a musculoskeletal sports physiotherapist since completing his BSc (Hons) in 2005, specialising in sports and fitness injuries. He has post-graduate level training in Acupuncture, strength & conditioning, ultrasonography, independent prescribing and advanced neuro-musculoskeletal practice. Emerson has extensive experience of working in GP practices, gyms, A&E and in private practice with athletes (footballers, rugby players, crossFitters, cyclists, runners, weight lifters, martial artists), gymnasts and dancers.

He now combines a extended scope physiotherapist NHS role which includes weekly diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injection therapy clinics, a teaching role and private practice at Complete Physio, where he specialises in knee and shoulder disorders, including ACL and knee ligament reconstruction management and shoulder rotator cuff rehabilitation.

Emerson is one of the small group of advanced Physiotherapists able to offer diagnostic ultrasound assessments and use his extensive clinical experience to offer a full diagnosis, management options and treatment plan. Emerson is a passionate therapist with background in football, strength & conditioning, CrossFit and Brasilian Jujitsu (BJJ) which allows him to rehabilitate injury to 'return to play' in the safest and fastest way possible.

He continues to study at Masters level and offers diagnostic ultrasound assessment, spinal manipulations, advanced soft tissue techniques including IASTM, joint mobilisations and shockwave therapy in addition to injection therapy.
