Maximising Your Insurance Benefits for Physiotherapy

For Smaller Insurance Companies

If you have a policy with a smaller insurance company, we may not have a direct registration number with them. You will still be able to access treatment with us, as all our physiotherapists are accredited by the CSP and HCPC, but you will most likely be asked by the insurance company to self-pay for your treatment, and then we will issue you with a detailed invoice and receipt to then claim reimbursement.
Should you have any enquiries, our practice manager, Clare Chadney, is available at clare@complete-physio.co.uk or by phone at 020 7482 3875.

Understanding Your Insurance Policy’s Excess

It’s common for policies to include an annual outpatient excess, typically around £100, though this can vary. We advise discussing this directly with your insurance provider prior to booking any treatment sessions.

Due to confidentiality regulations, Complete Physio cannot enquire about this on your behalf and will only be notified of any excess charges once applied to our invoices.

The Billing Process at Complete Physio

We have a fantastic admin team at Complete Physio, who ensure that invoices are sent to insurance companies within a day of your consultation. Payment processing may take a few weeks post-invoice submission. During this period, your insurer might contact you regarding any excess payments due, which they may request you to settle directly with us.

Once we have received notification of the excess amount, we will issue an invoice to you with a convenient online payment option.

Your Responsibilities as a Policyholder

We will do our best to keep you up to date with information on the number of Physiotherapy sessions that you have had, but it is important that you also take responsibility for your treatment.

As the policy holder, you are ultimately responsible for any treatment costs not covered by your insurance, and if there are any discrepancies or oversights in the provided authorisation details, or if the number of sessions exceeds the agreed amount, then you will be liable to cover the costs.

Looking Forward to Your Visit

We look forward to welcoming you to our clinic and supporting you on your path to recovery.
