ALEX MANOS
Angus Shaw
Angus is an Australian-trained Physiotherapist, having completed his degree at the University of Canberra with first-class honours. His honours research focused on predicting medial tibial stress syndrome (aka shin splints) in Australian Defence Force recruits. Angus has worked across a variety of clinical settings, from private practice to elite-level sport (including medical coverage for Australian Rules Football teams and experience with the ACT Brumbies Super Rugby team). Angus has also worked extensively with swimmers at national and international levels.
His clinical interests include the management of lower limb overuse injuries, acute knee injuries and post-operative surgeries, swimming injuries, masters runners, injury prevention, and performance testing and profiling.
Angus has experience working in Australia’s capital city and surrounding communities, treating individuals from diverse backgrounds. He emphasises that exercise is medicine and collaborates with patients to create personalised rehab plans, equipping them to manage injuries, improve performance, and prevent future injuries. Whether working with athletes or those recovering from injury, Angus is dedicated to helping his patients achieve long-term success in their goals.
When Angus isn’t in the clinic, out training for triathlons or travelling with his partner, you’ll find him staying up to date with the latest research, always looking for ways to enhance his practice and offer the best possible care to his patients.
