QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate certificate in Sports Physiotherapy and Masters of Sports Physiotherapy
Annabel graduated from Sydney University in 2009 with a First Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy. After working exclusively in paediatrics for a year at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, she transferred into private practice in Sydney for 8 years. Here Annabel specialised in the management of shoulder conditions, with a particular interest in multidirectional instability (MDI) and pain associated with hypermobility. Annabel is passionate about helping people who are suffering with pain as a result of these conditions and has the experience, knowledge and skillset to get people out of pain and back to full function.
Annabel has since completed a Masters of Sports Physiotherapy from La Trobe University, Melbourne, where her research project was on the assessment and management of Achilles Tendinopathy. She has also completed her Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Rehabilitation certificate.
Annabel has presented for the Shoulder and Elbow Physiotherapists of Australasia Association on the management of Acromioclavicular joint injuries for their 2016 Seminar program and can also be heard speaking about Pilates, MDI management and horse-riding injuries on our very own Complete Health Podcast.
Annabel specialises in the management of conditions related to hypermobility, with a particular interest in shoulder conditions and adolescent sporting injuries. With her experience in managing her own hypermobility, she is very passionate about advocating for this group and the particular challenges of rehabilitation this cohort faces.
