QUALIFICATIONS: BSc (Hons) Podiatry, RCPod, HCPC registered.
David is a specialist in podiatric sports medicine, managing musculoskeletal injuries of the foot, ankle, and lower limb. He graduated from Queensland University of Technology (Brisbane, Australia) in 2014. During his career in Australia, he helped establish The Pedaler Cyclery, the first cycling-based podiatry practice, where he worked with both amateur and professional cyclists. This led to him developing a keen interest and skill in managing complex sports injuries and prescription of sport specific foot orthoses.
Since moving to the UK David has undertaken a MSc in Sport & Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University of London. His research focussed on tendinopathy and the effects of foot orthoses.
David is an extended scope podiatrist which includes prescription only medicines, corticosteroid and hyaluronic acid injections, and shockwave therapy. His special interest area is strength and conditioning, gait analysis and foot orthoses. He has presented several workshops and courses on strength and conditioning, mobility and exercise prescription.
Aside of podiatry, David loves keeping fit and regularly goes hiking, surfing, skiing and cycling. His current competitive passion is Kettlebell Sport, in which he has recently been selected to represent the national team at the World Championships.
