Jarrod graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney, with a BHSc, from the University of Sydney with a BAppSc Physiotherapy and has completed a Masters of Sports Physiotherapy from La Trobe University, Melbourne.
Jarrod has worked as a consultant physiotherapist for numerous high level sporting organisations including British Athletics & members of the US Track and Field Team in preparation for the London 2012 Olympics. He currently consults to numerous Premiere League Football teams across the UK and 5 NBA basketball teams in the US, which he visits monthly. He also works as consultant physiotherapist at The Fortius Clinic London, as a specialist in tendinopathy undertaking research in the management of mid-portion achilles tendinopathy, associated with plantaris compression.
Jarrod has presented at numerous international Sports Medicine and Science conferences including Sports Kongress (Denmark), FISIC (London) and Isokinetics (Barcelona & London) on the diagnosis and management of tendinopathy in sport.
Jarrod specialises in the diagnosis and management of achilles and patella tendinopathy through the use of Ultrasound Tissue Characterisation (UTC) as well as full biomechanical screening utilising Noraxon and Bertec triaxial force platforms. Through the understanding of how human force is produced and the asymmetry associated with jumping and landing movement patterns, rehabilitation programs can be tailored to address patient or athlete’s specific deficits.
