Michael Tegerdine

QUALIFICATIONS: Chartered Physiotherapist

Michael Tegerdine MCSP HCPC AACP, has gained a vast about of experience in assessing and managing a wide variety of musculo-skeletal conditions whilst working in hospitals both nationwide and overseas. He has also fulfilled roles in the private sector working extensively with patients suffering from neuro musculoskeletal conditions including sporting injuries, both traumatic and overuse, work-related disorders, problems related to inactivity, and chronic pain.

Michael received his BSc Hons in Sport and Exercise Scientist at Canterbury Christ Church University, and after publishing research in the Journal of Sport Science he then went on and received a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy at the University of Brighton. These two qualifications have complemented each other in his treatment of a wide range of patients from the sedentary to the high level athlete.

He has previously worked as a lead Squash & Table Tennis Physiotherapist at the Common Wealth Games, and has also worked separately in competitive squash, martial arts, running, cycling and rugby. He uses a variety of manual treatment techniques including joint manipulation, soft tissue therapy, kinesiology taping, Pilates, functional exercise and acupuncture dry needling to get his clients out of pain and back to full function.

He currently splits his time between both NHS and Complete Physio, where he is specifically keen on working with squash athletes, specialising on his hands on treatment with well-structured goal orientated functional rehabilitation following an injury or operation.
