Shane Gore
Shane is a highly experienced sports physiotherapist. He holds a first-class honours degree in Physiotherapy and a Master’s degree with distinction in Sports and Exercise Medicine. In addition, Shane is an accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach with the NSCA, further enhancing his expertise in the field.
Shane’s passion for working with athletes spans a wide range of sports. With over seven years of experience at the elite level, he has worked with professional rugby and football teams, from first-team players to amateurs in sports like MMA, CrossFit, cheerleading, and Gaelic games. This diverse background has equipped him with a unique set of skills that help athletes return to their sport stronger, fitter, and more resilient than ever before. As an avid functional fitness enthusiast and competitor himself, Shane has valuable insight into the injuries, training demands, and events that come with these sports.
Shane’s special interests lie in lower-limb injuries (hips, knees, and everything below!), tendinopathies, and post-surgical sports rehabilitation. He has particular expertise in ACL injuries, with extensive experience guiding athletes through rehabilitation and return-to sport protocols. He also collaborates closely with top surgeons, doctors, podiatrists, and nutritionists in London to provide an elite, multidisciplinary service to his clients, much like the care offered to professional athletes.
Before his career in elite sports, Shane worked in the NHS as a musculoskeletal specialist, treating a broad spectrum of injuries and pain. His experience in this setting helped him develop a comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation and injury management. Whether it’s an acute injury, chronic pain, or rehabilitation after surgery, he carefully assesses each individual to understand their specific needs, goals, and lifestyle. He loves to work with everyone, from athletes recovering from sports injuries to those dealing with age-related musculoskeletal issues, ensuring that each treatment plan is tailored to their condition and functional goals.
Outside of work, you’ll find Shane in the gym, climbing mountains, or cheering on Arsenal at the Emirates!
