The new Bankside Clinic, SE1 0SU, is the first time Complete Physio have opened a clinic south of the river and marked a very exciting expansion into South London’s Borough’s of Southwark, just 5mins from London Bridge.
Company Director and clinic lead for the new site Dave Baker, said ‘this is such exciting opportunity for us to bring our unique brand of physiotherapy and Reformer Pilates to a new area of London. The gym facilities are amazing so much space and equipment as well as studio rooms, dedicated TRX area – perfect for rehabilitating or patient’s often looking to return to sport following injury or surgery’.
Dave is also the physiotherapist for the National Centre for Circus Arts and therefore having the space and equipment for full assessment and rehabilitation is vital. Dave says ‘I really do not working with the students and piriformis from the circus school, they are dedicated and training incredibly hard and have dead lines to me for course work and performances. From a physiotherapist’s perspective they are a pleasure to work with as they are always keen to comply with any treatment and exercise machine prescribed. Also they present with such an amazing array of injuries both traumatic and repetitive overuse injuries as they are training for so many hours every day with very limited recovery time’.
At the new Bankside clinic specialist bike fits and cycling assessments are available. There is also musculoskeletal ultrasound which can be used as an adjunct to help with diagnosis of injuries. This can be especially useful in the assessment of tendons, muscle tears and also used for ultrasound guided injections such as steroid or hyaluronic acid which are provided on site.
Complete Physio and Complete Pilates are both situated within the Bankside health club, Bluefin building, 110 Southwark St. They are looking forward to bringing the unique ‘Complete’ brand to a full new group of people and a very excited about what the next few years for bring.
