QUALIFICATIONS: BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy, PgDip Physiotherapy, PgCert Healthcare Management, DFSEM(UK). HCPC and CSP registered.

Claire is a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist whose experience in injury management spans nearly 20 years. She has had a varied career, working as Director of Clinical Services in a private hospital in the north of England, and most recently managing the physiotherapy departments across 2 private hospitals in South West London.  She has extensive clinical experience in the NHS, in private clinics, and in professional Rugby League.

A large part of her career has been supporting people in achieving their goals after orthopaedic procedures, such as hip and knee replacements, Achilles repairs, and ligament repairs. Her experience within professional sport and in private physiotherapy clinics has given her the ability to assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Claire divides her time at Complete between the physiotherapy clinic and the pilates studio.

Claire was amongst the first cohort of healthcare professionals in 2021 to complete a Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine with the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine. She is a member of the British Association of Hand Therapists and is also trained to use acupuncture for pain relief as part of physiotherapy treatment. She is among a select group of healthcare professionals to have completed an extensive MSK (Musculoskeletal) Champions programme with the charity Versus Arthritis and works with her fellow champions across all sectors of the UK to try to improve MSK care. She is experienced in supporting and empowering patients with all forms of arthritis.

Claire’s approach to physiotherapy is to understand what goals are important to each person she treats and then help them with a plan to achieve that.  She believes that hands on treatment and exercise can be equally important parts of the recovery process from an injury or surgery, and always seeks to help clients understand more about their own body.

Claire combines her love of travel and sport with her passion for physiotherapy, having worked as a volunteer physiotherapist at a number of major sporting events, including the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, 2018 Winter Paralympics in PyeongChang, Rio Olympics 2016 and Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014.

Away from work, if it’s dry, she loves to be active outdoors, and when the weather is rough, she enjoys exploring art galleries and attending the theatre!
