Kelly Greacen

QUALIFICATIONS: Chartered Physiotherapist, BPthy, Cred.MDT, MCSP, HCPC registered

Growing up in New Zealand, Kelly led an active lifestyle, enjoying many outdoor and sporting activities. She represented NZ in sport aerobics, competed nationally with netball and surf lifesaving, and performed in cheerleading and aerial acrobatics displays. Along the way, Kelly obtained several injuries, and as a result, was introduced to physiotherapy from a young age. Through these experiences, she became fascinated with the human body, and knew then, that a career in health science was for her.

Kelly went on to study at the University of Otago, graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. She has since been working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in the private practice sectors in Wellington, New Zealand, and London.

Kelly has experience working with clients of all population groups but has a particular interest in pre and postnatal care, low back and neck pain, radicular symptoms, hip, knee and ankle injuries, and post-operative management.

Kelly takes a holistic, whole body approach to treatment, always seeking to address the root cause of the condition. She is passionate about helping her clients achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Kelly is a strong advocate of active rehabilitation and uses her knowledge as a pilates instructor to retrain movement patterns and improve posture. Her treatment approach also includes education, joint and soft tissue mobilisation, and shockwave therapy.

Kelly is always looking to expand her knowledge and provide up to date evidence-based treatments. Since graduating, she has furthered her education in persistent pain and mechanical diagnosis therapy, becoming a credentialled Mckenzie therapist in 2018. More recently, she has developed an interest in the areas of women’s and pelvic health and is currently undertaking training to develop her knowledge in these areas.
