QUALIFICATIONS:  BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, HCPC and CSP registered

Stuart is an Australian trained physiotherapist, graduating in 2013 from La Trobe University in Melbourne, with a Bachelor of Health Sciences, and a Masters of Physiotherapy Practice.

In the years following, Stuart has worked in private practice, and often simultaneously within the sporting community, in Australia, the UK and more recently Dubai. This has allowed Stuart to work alongside many leading experts and practitioners within the orthopaedic and sports medicine fields, across different parts of the world. His particular interests lie in treating patients with hip, knee, and shoulder injuries, along with gym based and racket sports athletes.

Over the past 3 years in Dubai, Stuart has developed further experience working with elite athletes, being pitchside with some of the world’s top CrossFit athletes, along with tennis players at Dubai’s annual ATP 500 event, and some of the UAE’s best secondary school rugby players during tournaments and in clinic.

These varied experiences have provided Stuart the opportunity to work with a wide spectrum of patients, dealing with a variety of musculoskeletal, spinal, and sporting injuries. This has allowed Stuart to develop his skills in successfully treating patients with busy family lives, desk-based or active jobs, post-operative patients, and athletes from amateur to elite across a number of different sports.

Stuart uses a patient-centred and evidence-based approach in the treatment of his patients, utilising a mix of manual therapy, needling, and exercised based rehabilitation. Each patient’s individual needs are first identified through a detailed assessment, often incorporating the use of advanced equipment such as force plates and dynamometry to assess metrics such as range, strength, power, speed, and coordination.

Outside of work Stuart is a keen traveller, often searching for hiking trails in new countries that he is able to visit, and a regular in the gym following a stint in competitive powerlifting in years gone by.
