Yasmin is an Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who graduated with a First-Class Honours degree from Manchester Metropolitan University. She developed her clinical expertise within the NHS, treating a broad range of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries across diverse patient populations, from post-operative rehabilitation to women’s health and performance-focused care. She is dedicated to helping individuals return to the activities that matter most to them, whether that is elite sport, recreational running, or full confidence in everyday movement.
Yasmin holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and is committed to evidence-based practice and continual professional development to ensure her patients receive the highest standard of assessment and treatment. She combines skilled hands-on treatment with structured rehabilitation and objective performance assessment, using tools such as force plates and hand-held dynamometry to guide rehabilitation progression.
Yasmin has developed a strong clinical reputation in the management of hip and groin injuries, particularly lateral hip pain conditions such as gluteal tendinopathy and trochanteric bursitis. She also treats labral pathology, femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), hip dysplasia and proximal hamstring tendinopathy. Her clinical approach combines advanced assessment, precise rehabilitation and performance-focused strength programming to optimise outcomes in both athletic and non-athletic populations. Due to her extensive experience in this area, she is frequently referred patients with persistent lateral hip pain by orthopaedic and sports medicine consultants and regularly lectures internationally on hip and running-related injuries.
Yasmin is also a Shockwave Therapy Specialist and Tutor, delivering education to healthcare professionals on its clinical application. She holds postgraduate qualifications in musculoskeletal ultrasound and shockwave therapy, allowing her to integrate diagnostic imaging into her assessments and guide treatment with greater precision. She has extensive experience using both radial and focused shockwave therapy for conditions such as gluteal tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, tendinopathies, calcific conditions, bone stress injuries and medial tibial stress syndrome (shin splints), integrating this treatment within comprehensive rehabilitation programmes.
An international speaker, Yasmin regularly presents on lower limb and running-related injuries and is particularly passionate about guiding post-partum athletes through a safe and effective return to sport. Alongside her clinical work she also works as a freelance journalist covering injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance topics. Outside of work she enjoys running, hiking and strength training.
