Pain management Complete Physio Director Dave Baker

Complete Physio clinical director and pain specialist Dave Baker has been published in Winter 2015 issue of In Touch magazine (specialist physiotherapy magazine) as part of their series on pain management. Dave says 'it was an honour to be published alongside some of the leading lights in pain management such as Louis Gifford, Pete Moore and Mike Stewart'.

 

Dave is one of the worlds first independent prescribing physiotherapists working in private practice and the article highlights the benefits this has to his patients. Case studies include patients who require ultrasound-guided injections and prescription analgesic medications when required as part of patients overall treatment. The piece also highlights some of the issues around commonly used analgesics such as paracetamol and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

 

Dave continues his work in this field lecturing around the UK and abroad. He also currently represents the physiotherapy profession on a national steering group reviewing the 'Single Competency Framework for All Prescribers'
