Complete Physio is a trusted partner of AXA health insurance.

AXA PPP private health insurance is designed to cover the cost of private medical treatment for acute conditions. This refers to conditions or injuries that are fairly new, rather than problems that you’ve had for a long time.

To ensure you are able to make the most of your AXA insurance policy, don’t delay your treatment or they may not agree to cover the cost of your physiotherapy appointments.

At Complete Physio, we’re committed to providing exceptional physiotherapy services to our patients. If you’re covered by AXA PPP or AXA International health insurance, you can benefit from our treatments and rehabilitation services in London without any upfront payment (unless you have an excess in your policy).

Complete Physio will take care of invoicing AXA health insurance company for you.

How to book your appointment with an AXA Registered Physiotherapist at Complete Physio in 3 simple steps:

1. Call Your AXA Insurance Provider:

  • Check that your policy covers Physiotherapy treatment, and inform them that you’d like to book a physiotherapy appointment with Complete Physio.

Make sure to ask them the following questions:

  • Your AXA membership number
  • Your AXA authorisation number
  • The number of authorised sessions, or what your total allowance for physiotherapy treatment is.
  • Whether you have an excess on your AXA health insurance policy and how much it is

2. Ask them if you need a GP referral:

This can be done through your NHS or private GP and you can often get a certificate via a phone consultation.

3. Provide AXA With Our Details:

Give AXA PPP & AXA International the following information:

  • Company Name: Complete Physio
  • AXA Registration Number for the Complete Physio clinic you wish to attend:
    • Bury Street Clinic: ZZ03838
    • Lime Street Clinic: ZZ03549
    • Angel Clinic: ZZ01645
    • Chelsea Clinic: ZZ05088
    • Swiss Cottage Clinic: ZZ03585

4. Book an appointment at Complete Physio by calling 020 3816 1544 or email us  info@complete-physio.co.uk

You will need:

  • Your AXA membership number
  • Your AXA claim number –  you will need a separate authorisation code for each body part that you require treatment for.
  • The number of sessions for each body part, or what your total allowance for physiotherapy treatment authorised by AXA
  • Details about any excess in your policy and whether you need to pay this amount to AXA or Complete Physio

Paying for your AXA Physiotherapy sessions:

We have a fantastic admin team at Complete Physio, who promptly invoices AXA PPP or AXA International health insurance directly within 24 hours of your physiotherapy appointment and you will receive a notification through your client portal. However, please note that payment processing by AXA may take several weeks to come through to us.

AXA Health Policy Excess:

Your policy excess (sometimes called a cost share or members contribution), is the amount on your AXA insurance policy that you need to pay before the insurance company starts to contribute to the costs. Policies vary but it’s usually around £100- £150.

Most policies require you to pay your excess directly to Complete Physio; once we have received notification of the excess amount from AXA (this may take a few weeks), we will issue an invoice to you with different payment options including a convenient online payment option.

We kindly request your cooperation in settling the excess deduction payment promptly, as it covers the treatment sessions that you have already had. Your timely response is greatly appreciated.

With some AXA healthcare policies, the excess is collected by AXA themselves and then paid to us.

Number of AXA insured physiotherapy treatment sessions/total treatment amount:

It is important to know how many sessions have been authorised by AXA, or how much in total they will cover for your physiotherapy treatment. When you reach this limit you will then be required to cover the cost yourself, unless you call AXA to request more sessions and get a new claim number.

We will help keep you on top of this but you also need to be aware of where you are up to with your treatments to make sure you don’t go over. If you do require more sessions then we will also liaise with AXA and send them an additional request letter explaining why you need ongoing treatment.
