Stephen Garvey

QUALIFICATIONS: Chartered Physiotherapist, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy

Stephen graduated in Physiotherapy from St Georges University of London. In this time he worked as a Junior and Senior physiotherapist at St Georges Hospital NHS Trust. He has worked with elite athletes in professional rugby with London Irish and Saracens. He has also worked with the GB Sailing team and was selected to go to the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014 with the weightlifting team. Alongside his time at Complete Physio, he holds clinics with the professional dancers at the Royal Ballet and the England Hockey team.

Stephen is a highly skilled practitioner, he treats broad and complex injuries, using evidence-based research to guide his assessment and treatment. He strives for results through performance-based strength and conditioning principles for patients recovering from injury. He places great emphasis on accurately diagnosing and effective treating his patients. He has a special interest in sports injuries and specialises in lower limb pathologies, where has a particular interest in patella-femoral conditions and ACL rehabilitation.

He also has a keen interest in cycling injuries and is a skilled Bike Fitter. Because of his experience, he has written and published many articles for cycling and triathlon magazines.

Stephen knows the demands of sport and is a member of the GB Duathlon team attending the European and World Championships 2020.
